CETLOE is sponsoring a year-long series of events related to understanding the challenges and opportunities around AI in higher education. On Tuesday, August 20 we held a kick-off event that was attended by over 250 people from across the university community. We covered topics that are especially relevant as we approach the first day of classes: how to develop an AI syllabus statement, tips for preventing academic dishonestly, getting started with Gradescope, and some GPTs you can use to make your first few weeks of class a little easier.
You can find slides from our session and links to some of the tools we discussed at the AI in Teaching and Learning Website.
If you’d like support to think about how to use – or not use – AI in your class, you can contact us at [email protected] or make an appointment with one of our consultants.
