With over 12 years of experience in higher education, Chad Marchong is the Associate Director of Learning Analytics and Research at Georgia State University. His team supports institutional researchers with teaching and learning research projects and academic initiatives that draw on analytics to inform effective teaching and learning practices.
Throughout his career, Chad has transformed, analyzed, and visualized data in ways that sparked actionable initiatives in teaching and learning. He is interested in how data can not only be used to improve student learning but expand ethical data applications in education.
Chad received his B.A. in Computer Science from Hofstra University and his M.S. in Instructional Design and Technology from Georgia State University. Presently, Chad is pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Policy Studies with a concentration in Research, Measurement, & Statistics.
Outside of work, Chad enjoys spending time with his family and running.
