What is Group Member Evaluation?

No, it synchs with the groups you already have in the iCollege Groups tool.
Yes, you can set them as individual scale items or combine them in one rubric. You can also have more than one rubric with different criteria and performance levels within the same assignment.
Yes, you can save your criteria as a rubric to your rubric library and use them for future assignments in the same course or in other courses, or even share them with fellow instructors at GSU.
Yes, you can set deadlines for the students to review their peers, a deadline for them to read their reviews, and optionally, a deadline to write a reflection on the activity and the feedback they received if you decide to include a reflection component in the assignment.
Yes. The way this works is that you create the grade item and associate it with the Group Member Evaluation assignment. You can then manually publish the grades by clicking “Publish Grades” from within the Group Member Evaluation activity or set a date for the grades to be published automatically.
This depends on how the grade is configured. If part of the grade is assigned for reading the reviews received, then yes, not receiving a review from one or more group members can negatively impact the student’s grade, even if they have done everything they are required to do. That is why it’s important to communicate to the students that they all must provide feedback to each other. It also helps avoid that to set a deadline for providing reviews and not allowing the students to see their received reviews until the deadline for reviewing has passed.
Yes, FeedbackFruits Group Member Evaluation offers the option for anonymous evaluations. This ensures fairness and reduces potential biases in the assessment process, allowing students to provide honest and constructive feedback without revealing their identities. However, the instructor will be able to see everything without anonymity.
