What is PlayPosit?
With PlayPosit Interactive Video, instructors can turn their course videos, Kaltura videos, or videos from YouTube or Vimeo into an interactive quiz, creating robust and engaging course materials. Videos can be shared with students and colleagues through iCollege. In addition, multiple PlayPosit interactive videos can be collected into playlists to keep your course content organized and contextual.
PlayPosit collects and analyzes students’ performance data and provides visual statistics that target difficult topics and help instructors adjust the content to students’ needs.
PlayPosit Interactive Video is fully integrated with the iCollege gradebook.
How to Access PlayPosit
PlayPosit Interactive Video is available to the entire GSU community through an institutional license. You can access it through your iCollege course content modules, Existing Activities menu.

PlayPosit adheres to leading global accessibility standards, including U.S. Section 508 standards and WCAG 2.1.
PlayPosit uses interactive video to improve student engagement and interaction which the added benefit of providing increased retention rates.
Instructors can benefit by incorporating PlayPosit interactions as a means to transform passive observation into active learning, where online and conventional students can explore, analyze and apply concepts through enriched learning content.
PlayPosit supports Kaltura, Youtube and Vimeo video integration along with associated captioning. If you have video content in another format, it is recommended that you first upload it to Kaltura in order to access it in PlayPosit.
The Collaboration feature enables instructors to add editors, collaborators and the ability to re-assign PlayPosit projects.
Instructors can save time by importing PlayPosit links to recurring courses.
- Bulb Overview: Allows instructors to monitor learners' responses to each interaction, view detailed analytics of their overall performance and manually grade their responses.
- Class Bulbs Overview: provides a list of all the Bulbs assigned to a class. Navigate to this view from the Class Overview by clicking on either the class name or the Bulbs button for the class that needs to be monitored.
- Learner View: Shows a single learner's responses to a Bulb. Navigate to this view from the Bulb Overview by clicking on a learner's name, then click on View Learner Attempt.
- Interaction View: Shows all learner responses for a single interaction.
- Bulb Analytics: Provides a question-by-question breakdown of learner performance as well as average Bulb score and completion status.
