On behalf of our center’s staff and faculty associates, it is our pleasure to welcome you to the Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Online Education (CETLOE, “seat-low”). CETLOE is the hub for innovation and effectiveness in teaching at Georgia State University, providing research-informed guidance and resources to over 2,000 full-time, part-time and graduate student instructors across six campuses and online. Our teams in CETLOE collaborate with instructors to support engaged, meaningful and technology-enhanced learning experiences for GSU undergraduate and graduate students.
Keeping a focus on success in student learning is central to CETLOE’s approach. Our instructor-driven programs, services, grants and fellowships provide pathways to enhancing student success through incorporating high-impact practices (HIPs), digital teaching tools, inclusive pedagogies, user-experience research, Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) and many other methods. We invite you to peruse our website to learn about ways you can get involved with CETLOE through workshops, book clubs and consultations.
CETLOE is ready to support you in your teaching objectives and student learning goals, whether you are experimenting with a new style of teaching, seeking guidance for iCollege or other digital tools to enhance student learning, looking for feedback on how you’ve documented student success activities in your teaching portfolio or planning to design a SoTL research project. Our pedagogy and technology experts in CETLOE look forward to collaborating with you!
